The 2014 Butterfly Ball was recently held at the Grosvenor House, in London. The host was national charity Caudwell Children – founded by the entrepreneur and philanthropist John Caudwell; the charity has become one of the fastest growing children’s charities in the UK, helping thousands of youngsters and families each year by providing practical and emotional support. The event attracted media attention from around the globe, with the attendance of many stars from all avenues. This year’s event was hosted by singer and TV star Peter Andre, with performances from opera singer Alfie Boe; an exclusive acoustic performance of classic Pretenders hits by Chrissie Hynde; an after-show DJ set by Jake Shears of the Scissor Sisters; songs from boy band Next Of Kin; and headline performance by princess of pop, Kylie Minogue. The memorable event raised a staggering £2.5 million, smashing last year’s impressive £1.5 million total – a truly amazing feat only made possible by the hard work of all the staff and volunteers who make up Caudwell Children. I’m so pleased that the event was a huge success. It’s very easy to forget why everyone is there, with all the glamour and glitz, but it’s clear to see from this year’s fund-raising efforts that the children and families in need of support are certainly never forgotten. I would like to thank Caudwell Children for using my services again – it really was a pleasure as always – and to congratulate the team behind the charity on what was a very special night for all. Pictured below is a very small selection of images from the evening.
