Another commercial photography assignment with Caudwell Children, which is based in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire.  With schools off for a week we headed out to Burton-upon-Trent, where one of the charity’s Award Scheme, Development and Accreditation Network (ASDAN) projects was taking place.

These fun-filled programmes provide a week of challenge activities that can lead to accredited certification through ASDAN.  Trained buddies enable disabled children and young people to take part in social activity challenges that help the youngsters explore their world, have new experiences and develop vital life skills.

On the day of the shoot, the atmosphere created was just fantastic. All the children and young people taking part were having such a great time.

The shoot started in the village hall, where the lighting was very mixed but predominately yellow under tungsten lights.  This proved a little tricky for photographs, but with a couple of well-placed flash heads, I managed to calm the yellow saturation down.

The group taking part in the programme started to enjoy my company and were soon striking poses like supermodels.  I really enjoyed my time with everyone – it was another great shoot with Caudwell Children, which just keeps on impressing me with all that it does.

Thank you to Louisa, Rob and James from the charity for helping me out on the day.

As always here are a few pics
